Local community leaders are developing a magazine about Rockcastle County
designed to focus on the overall quality of life and to help sell the
community to prospective residents, business and industry who might be
considering the area as their home. The publication is being organized by
the Rockcastle County Industrial Development Authority and the Chamber of
Commerce to help, “tell the story” of what is happening in Rockcastle
County. “We believe this is a tremendous opportunity to develop a
first-class marketing tool to help people outside of Rockcastle County see
the great environment we have for raising a family and locating a business,”
according to Corey Craig, Chairman of the Rockcastle County Industrial
Development Authority.
Starting Monday of this week, Brad Estes, the sales representative of
Community Link, the company publishing the magazine began offering business
people in Rockcastle County the opportunity to participate in advertising in
the publication. The publication will have feature stories on the school
system, the hospital, the tourism industry, business and industry located in
the area and other topics of interest to people both inside and outside of
Rockcastle County. For those who might be interested in advertising their
business in the publication, you can contact Lynn Tatum at 256-8007 and she
will have Brad Estes contact your company with more details regarding the
availability and cost of space for advertising in the publication. “We are
excited to be developing this first-class print publication to help people
have the opportunity to see all of the positive things happening in
Rockcastle County,” according to Jerry Pensol, President of the Rockcastle
County Chamber of Commerce. The publication will be printed later this year
with about 5,000 copies being printed and distributed through local motels,
the chamber, the tourism board and the development foundation. The
publication will be designed to be useable for a 2-year period.
