
Kentucky Governor Ernie Fletcher was on hand to welcome PlasticWare to Rockcastle County.
Rockcastle county celebrated the re-opening of the former Alcoa plant by welcoming the new owners September 6. PlasticWare LLC, a major supplier of deli containers has restarted operations at the Mt. Vernon facility and re-hired most of the former employees. "We know the key to success is the Mount Vernon plant's 25 years of experience, its management team and its devoted employees," Deutsch said in a news release from Kentucky Governor's office.
